About me:
I am a human that loves nature and just about everything. I feel I am a unique person with a big heart for nature. I worked in TV and Radio for most of my life. I left the workforce in 2019 to aim to do something more meaningful. Other than great people the office life isn't for me. I want to be outdoors. Learning growing teaching tinkering.
I'm rather scattered-brained. as in I overwhelm myself with my random crazy ideas. and projects. I have a great support team whom I love dearly. My two loving partners thank you for your help and love and for coping with my craziness. And friends just as crazy as I am! Most importantly our new baby girl born 2021.
So want to know even more about me then join me on one of my hikes and meet me directly. (after Covid) I will be available for that. I love to take photos of nature FYI!!!
Support me and buy a print or two!!! or check out my crafts!!! Buy me a coffee!!!
Need to type a real bio up. Grrr, not my strongest suit!
Ever since I was little I was always drawn to the woods. Living in a complex with other units in my building and a patch of woods in the back. I remember going into the woods and getting scolded for doing so. as a child, I never knew what dangers were out there. I always thought of wild animals but mom knew different. There were a lot of squatters and older kids drinking in the woods and I was too young and my mom was too scared so I never could play in the woods like I wanted to. However, sometimes I got away with it in some area's smaller area's that didn't connect to this said private campground with underage drinking...
it wasn't until I was older did I even understand where my mom's fear came from. I always thought the woods or forest I should be scared of and I'm not. it feels too comfy to be scared in. it was other people. ha good that I can cope with.
so I'm now an avid backpacker and a hiker who loves to be in the woods under trees is ideal but anywhere in nature will work! living near a larger city it can be hard to find that little piece of calm.
I go back to the woods when I was younger and houses have replaced them. no longer is the spot where I built the treehouse.
no longer is the spot where I got yelled at for hiding.
no longer is there a secret pond of ugly goo... the memories are all I have of you now.
Nature has been a part of my life and I increasing and intentionally add more of it to my life. It has taught me so many things from myself to appreciation to oh goodness I can't tell you everything....but everything seems to sum it up nicely.
so fast forward I found out why I tick the way I tick and it might just be due to my brain and how it's wired. and I'm seeing the connection of how nature has helped me manage this condition. And how it helps anyone in their day-to-day life. so that is where my heart is out there in nature. I want to help others and help the earth. so let us build a better relationship between the two.
that's my goal.
to help build a better relationship/connection with humans and nature!!
