Mini Brooms you can't fly on!

Crafting up small items is a great way to not only connect with nature but learn how things were done before the easy of someone figuring it out for us.

Sit down with rope and some pine needles and see if you can make a broom without it going into a full circle. Find out why weaving is a key part of this. Learn how to tie some knots that might just have some staying power.

Slowing down and really looking at how things are created is a great way to learn and grow. It will help learn to cope with impatience, help you appreciate basic things, as well as boost some of your creativity.

I made this broom while out in the BWCA in 2020. I found enough pine needles to create this. Had just enough rope too. It was a great little fireplace brush/ broom. It helped me brush away some of the ashes that built up on the rocks next to it and dishes that were there. I can see overtime how the needles will break off over time. But this was a fun little project to do and now I can say I can make a broom small or large. HAHA!
